Every ticketing platform has a Hello World moment. This is ours — a little late, but we think the context is worth it.

Event Horizon Tickets launched in 2024. We’re an independent ticketing platform, built for electronic music, live arts, and the broader world of independent events and festival culture. If that sounds like a niche, that’s because it is — and that’s entirely the point.

Here’s how we got here, and what we’re trying to do.

Where it came from

We didn’t start Event Horizon Tickets from a blank sheet of paper. We started it from wanting a better experience.

A better experience from ticketing platforms that bury fees until the final checkout screen. A better experience from platforms that treat independent promoters as small fry — useful enough to list, not important enough to support. With the gap between the scenes we love and the tools available to the people running them.

We’d also seen it from multiple angles. As people who go to events, we knew what a poor buying experience felt like. As people who understood the effort behind putting a night on, we knew what promoters needed and weren’t getting. Both of those things pointed in the same direction.

So we built something.

What Event Horizon Tickets actually is

At its core, Event Horizon Tickets is a platform that connects independent event promoters with the people who want to come to their events. But the “how” matters as much as the “what.”

For ticket buyers, that means a clean, straightforward experience — no hidden fees appearing at the last moment, tickets delivered reliably, and an actual human being to contact if something goes wrong. We’ve also introduced instalment plans, so that timing doesn’t become the reason someone misses an event they genuinely wanted to attend.

For promoters, it means more than just a listing page. It means a bespoke dashboard for tracking sales and revenue in real time, a scanning app that makes door management fast and reliable on the night, and marketing support that goes well beyond “here’s your event URL, good luck.” We run paid social campaigns and custom audience targeting to get events in front of the people most likely to show up.

And it’s free for promoters. Our booking fee sits with the customer, transparently. Promoters keep what they earn.

What we believe

We believe that getting to the events you love shouldn’t be a chore. We believe independent promoters deserve tools that are built for them, not adapted from a platform that also sells Premier League hospitality. And we believe a ticketing company that genuinely understands its scene is more valuable than one that just processes transactions.

We’re also committed to giving something back — a portion of our annual profits is donated to charity, because a platform built around community should act like it.

What comes next

We’re still building. There’s more to come on the platform, more events to support, and more communities we want to work with.
