We’ve rebuilt Event Horizon Tickets — here’s what’s changed (and why)

There’s a version of this post that opens with something like “We’re thrilled to announce our exciting new website.” We’re not going to do that to you.
Instead, here’s the honest version: we built Event Horizon Tickets because we thought the experience of buying a ticket — and getting support when something went wrong — deserved to be a lot better than it was. That belief hasn’t changed. But after a while, we looked at our own platform and realised it needed to catch up with it.
So we rebuilt it. And here’s what that actually means for you.
A site that gets out of your way
The old site worked. But “works” is a low bar. The new one is faster, cleaner, and considerably easier to navigate — whether you’re browsing what’s on, checking out a specific event, or buying a ticket at 11pm on your phone because you’ve just been convinced by a friend.
We’ve stripped back the clutter and focused the experience on what you’re actually there to do: find something worth going to, and get your ticket sorted without any unnecessary drama.
Spread the cost — because timing shouldn’t cost you a ticket
This one’s been a long time coming, and we’re glad it’s finally here.
Instalment plans are now available on eligible events — which means you can secure your spot now and pay over time, rather than having to find the full amount in one go at the moment you decide you want to go.
It sounds simple, and it is. But the impact is real. Big events, premium experiences, festivals — they often go on sale months in advance, when the budget doesn’t always line up perfectly with the moment of decision. Instalment plans close that gap.
So if you’ve ever talked yourself out of a ticket because the timing was off, that excuse just got a lot harder to use.
Faster in, more night
Nobody comes to an event to stand in a queue. We’ve always known that, but we’ve now made it a lot easier for the events we work with to act on it.
Our scanning app — used by promoters at the door — makes check-in faster and more reliable on the night. That means less waiting around at the entrance and more time doing what you actually came for.
It’s one of those things you probably won’t notice when it’s working. Which is exactly the point.
Still human. Genuinely.
One thing that hasn’t changed, and won’t: if something goes wrong with your ticket, you can reach a real person.
Wrong email address on the booking. Confirmation that never arrived. A question about accessibility. Whatever it is — there’s someone at Event Horizon Tickets who will actually respond and actually sort it. No automated reply loops, no support ticket that disappears into the void.
We’re an independent platform, which means we’re small enough to care about this stuff and motivated enough to actually do it.
Come and have a look
The new site is live now. Whether you’ve bought tickets with us before or you’re finding us for the first time — it’s worth a look.
And if there’s an event you’ve been thinking about, now’s as good a time as any.
